District 15 to survey parents on school satisfaction
In November, parents of District 15 will
have an opportunity to provide their child’s school with
feedback on their satisfaction. The purpose of the
survey is to gather the perceptions of the parent
community so that the school’s improvement efforts can
incorporate the thoughts and desires of the parents. The
questions focus on school climate and culture,
communication, the learning environment, the quality of
education, and the curriculum their child receives. The
results of the survey, as well as the school’s action
plan on how to address any opportunities for improvement
identified from the data, will be shared with the parent
community. Please note that comments that target
individuals in a disrespectful, hurtful, or otherwise
inappropriate fashion will be removed from the results.
The online survey will consist of
approximately 40 questions and is estimated to take
about 10 minutes to complete. The survey will be
available in both English and Spanish, and parents will
be able to request paper copies of the survey from their
school’s office. The survey will open on Wednesday,
November 9, and will remain open through the end of
parent-teacher conferences, closing on Sunday,
November 27. While parents will be able to access
the survey through a link on the website as well as
through the link below, each school will have computers
set up during conferences and will be encouraging
parents to participate during their visit. Parents that
prefer a paper copy of the survey are encouraged to ask
for one at their school’s office.
The District and building administrators
are excited about the opportunity to hear from you. We
have long held the belief that feedback is our friend.
After all, constructive feedback is the cornerstone of
our improvement efforts. Your participation is
encouraged and appreciated.
