Nomination Time: It is the time of year when the PTA membership begins to determine their leadership for the next year. The officers of our PTA serve a one year term and are eligible to serve a 2 year term if re-nominated and re-elected after their first year. Officers can not serve more than 2 consecutive terms. This year we have 3 positions that have served their 2 terms. They are: President, VP of Programs, and VP of Legislation. We have 4 positions that are eligible to serve another year if re-nominated/re-elected and they are VP of Ways and Means, Treasurer, Corresponding Secretary, and Recording Secretary.

Any PTA member (and there are over 700 of you!) can nominate someone for these offices - you can even nominate yourself. Please take the time to consider who would have the skills and the desire to fill these positions and submit their names to the Nominating Committee by using the following site: http://www.zoomerang.com/Survey/WEB22EM2RAT63Y

The descriptions for each office and the key skills needed will be outlined on the site.

Go ahead…start nominating so that we can continue to have an amazing set of leaders that will be your child’s biggest ambassadors for an amazing education and elementary experience.

IL PTA MONDAY MONITOR - IL PTA now has a Monday Monitor on the home page of their website. This link is a tool to communicate changes in the IL PTA Bill List on a weekly basis. It is a wonderful tool to help PTA members stay on top of legislative issues pending in Springfield. It may be accessed by clicking here.
